  • The deadline to submit your bio, headshot, and lecture title via the Lecture/Bio form is August 1.

Your college representative will provide you information on your lecture venue.

Most lectures will be held on Thursday, October 8, at 11:00 a.m. Lectures should end no later than 11:50 a.m. so you can arrive at the awards luncheon on time. Colleges may choose to give an introduction and request time for Q&A. We advise you to coordinate with your college representatives for further details.

For your lecture, we encourage topics related to your field of expertise, how you arrived where you are, and the impact of BYU on your life and work. Lecture titles should be brief (no longer than 7 words) and engaging. Below are some examples from past years.

Lecture title examples from past years:

    • Go Boldly: The Power of Yes
    • Finding Peace in Conflict
    • The Impossible Calling of Being an Artist

Please keep in mind that these tickets are not available for resale and are non-transferrable.

  • Honorees and their primary guests are asked to dress in business formal for the luncheon, whereas business casual should be worn in the VIP Loge at the football game.
The dress code for each event may also be found in the "Overview and Schedule" tab.

  • For any guests needing special assistance (handicap accessibility, etc.) please notify the Alumni Relations office so we may best accommodate.

At orientation, you will receive a magnetic nametag. If you have a pacemaker, please contact the Alumni Relations office at alumni_events@byu.edu for an alternative option.
